- $12,000 Bonus!n AHC American Health Communities is a network of 29 skilled nursing and rehab facilities. We treat patients recovering from illness, injury or surgery and provide daily care for long-term residents. Come grow with us!n WEEKEND DEFINED: The weekend begins on Saturday AM shift and ends when the Sunday PM shift is completed on Monday morning.n REQUIREMENTS FOR WEEKEND INCENTIVE PROGRAM:nnMust sign up for the weekend incentive program and agree to work every Saturday and Sunday.nThe Saturday/Sunday weekend incentive position is considered regular part-time. Earns PTO at 1/2 the accrual rate of a full-time employee which averages to approximately 2 weekends off per year.nQualifies for full time benefits if signed up for and works at least one 12 hour scheduled day per week (Friday). The extra day must be the same day and shift each week and is scheduled each week.nQualifies for full time benefits if signed up for 16 hour shifts on weekend incentive program.nMay also earn shift differential if working PM to AM qualifying shiftnLimited Availability: The facility Administrator and DON will determine the total number of slots the facility has available for the weekend incentive program. The number will not be exceeded.nn DISQUALIFIERS, EXCLUSIONS:nnFails to work both days of the weekend; Saturday and Sunday, unless scheduled for PTO.nMay be removed from the weekend incentive program by the DON or Administrator if absent days exceed two occurrences in any 12-month period or for excessive tardiness.nn POSITION SUMMARYn We are looking for a compassionate licensed practical nurse/registered nurse who leads by example, knows how to motivate others and promotes teamwork. Typical daily tasks include: nnDirect the day-to-day functions of nursing assistant and other staff being supervisednGive direct nursing care to residentsnVisit all assigned residents at regular intervals during tour of dutynSupervise feeding of residents as necessarynNotify physician/physician assistant/nurse practitioner when resident s condition warrantsnPhysician/Nurse Practitioner/ Physician s Assistant ordersnDischarge plans, Dietary changes, Reports, Nurse's notes, AssessmentsnMiscellaneous forms, charts, etc.nChart pertinent facts and information in a professional, clear and comprehensive mannernAdmit, transfer and discharge resident according to policynRecognize and respond to changes in residents conditions and document observations, interventions and outcomesnOrder from pharmacy, prepare, administer and document medications and treatments as ordered by physician/nurse practitioner/physician s assistantnEnsure that physician/physician assistant/nurse practitioner sign off on all verbal orders and document processnConduct and/or monitor prescribed treatments, such as dressing changes, drawing of blood, catheter changes, NG tube insertion and removal, laboratory work, etc.nGive and receive condition report from the on-coming and off-going shiftnPerform emergency procedures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and in the event of death, notify family and appropriate other partiesnRecognize, intervene, report and document accidents and incidents when they occurnMonitor and update care plans on each shift as appropriatenSupervise and participate in fire safety and other disaster drills and be prepared to carry out duties in the event on an actual eventnRecognize, intervene and/or report complaints and grievances from resident s, families, visitors and employeesnMonitor the facility for possible health and safety hazardsnMaintain privacy and confidentiality of records, conditions and other information relating to residents, employees and facilitynFollow the established universal precautions and isolation proceduresnUpdate daily census report and submit as requirednAttend and participate in orientation programs, on-going training and educational classesnCheck inventory and request equipment, supplies, etc.nAssist in updates of written policies and procedures of routine nursing carenParticipate in surveys made by authorized government agenciesnMonitor and participate in daily clean-up of the nurses stationnPerform other related duties as assigned by supervisornn WORK EXPERIENCE, CREDENTIALS AND EDUCATION nnnGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a Licensed Practical Nurse degree.nCurrent State of Alabama Licensed Practical Nurse Licensenn OTHER REQUIREMENTSnnCommunication skills and active listeningnPossess good interpersonal skills while dealing with emotional or difficult situations. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
